Mazda v Toyota
From the Just When You Think You've Seen it All dept. I was driving down Federal and saw an MPV with a sticker in the rear window of Calvin urinating on a Toyota symbol. I guess there is a big, relevant rivalry going on between Toyota and Mazda now. Fitting that the flag bearer of the cause should be a turtleish minivan. Give me the 11-second Astro
yes i didnt post most of june and july
It's becasue I was too busy watching Nashville Star. I hope Coffey wins
So much
In case I haven't told you I am headlining at the Altona Grange next weekend. Check the calendar. Since we last visited I had the Pleasure of playing at the SKYLARK in D-town. Fun times, but I was competing for fans with Mike Ness, and lost. That's OK tho, plenty more shows to come.
I have often told you of my love for Japanese candy and the strange All-Your-Base-are-Belong-to-Us advertising that accompanies it. I was forwarded this link today. Sometimes i think they are serious Precious, Precious Moments are These
I learned today that they quit making Count Chocula cereal. Fittingly, it rained on me all day.
The only thing that could make me happy again is the fact that we are playing at the SKYLARK tomorrow. Many nights I would while away there, mainly at the old location. A good time! Ill be following Glove Trucker, who I havent see yet, but I know rock. More Later Labels: Count Chocula more country goodness
UPCOMING SHOWS ADDED!
see the calendar page. And on a sad note, I just experienced a personal loss. That of about 2 hours of my life as i watched the made-for TV movie The Langoliers. My cable package, which I am giving up as I write, offers a library of free movies, including the above. It seriously starred Balki Bartokomous as the villain. Rough. OK see you in June. In the meantime I am heading to Gnashville to pitch songs! I feel i have a couple good fits for George Strait, I just have to convince his people that more later OK. So, tomorrow, then
Tomorrow night. Friday. 9:30 PM. 12 volt Tavern. Arvada. Intense, awesome, totally sweet music. Cheap beers.
We will have a pedal steel sittin in, pyrotechnics, dancing girls, sudokus, everything you will need to have a mind-blowingly good time. and at the end I will cage-match wrestle a wild tiger. Totally worth the $5 cover BE THERE!!! Labels: 12 Volt Tavern permanently awesome
OK Kids so the stuntman has lots to report. First, I had the most kickin St. Pats party at the Lazy J Ranch. That and a whole bunch of projects have kept me from writing. So we floated a keg of Guiness, which meant that the stuntman felt like he had fallen headfirst off a ten-story building come Sunday. The Lord's Day. Palm Sunday. I blame Matt and Jake. I prayed for the sweet release of death and made 6 briskets for my family who were all coming over for dinner that day. Rough, man.
Things are looking SWEET for Friday, in addition to it being opening day we at JC&HB are going to unveil a new original and surprise you with some rarities I havent played out in a WHILE. We will have T-shirts. Dont allow yourself to conform to the masses any longer. Come get a shirt and express your love of that which rocks: John Croghan and his Band Labels: Jake, Matt Brozovich, Rockies, St. Pat's |
