One of the things we like to discuss here at the JC is music industry trends. I read this morning that Gretchen Wilsons latest LP sold less than 75000 copies. Interestingly, Wilcos Sky Blue Sky outsold it, not even debuting. Does this mark the shift to alt.country and independents that I have long heraladed? Its funny Gnashville is so dependent on CD sales for it’s investment strategy, yet CDs are not selling. But is the country demographic moving to iTunes downloads?
