it's my gernel. I write my thoughts in it every day
OK so I've decided to make my first post about something I love almost as much as making sweet sweet country roots music. That is the '77 Firebird Trans Am. I was actually at Checker and impulse-bought a little toy firebird painted like the Bandit (as in Smokey and the same) and it sits on my computer at work. Sometimes, when I am feeling blue, I look at it and make believe it is revving a miniature 455 V-8. That would make the corrected displacement about .01 cubic inch. .01 cubic inch of Detroit muscle.
Maybe it's because I was watching
Cannonball Run last night and Burt Reynolds made a cameo remark about that car: Dom DeLuise was asking what rod they should enter in the annual coast-to-coast; Burt replied "how about a black Trans Am? Nah, it's been done." Poetry. Poetry.
