Family:
new ticket added to the fall bill for the
JC. I'm playing again at the
D-note in
Arvada. It's in
Olde Towne Arvada between The
Liverie Staebles and Ye
Olde Blacksmythe's Shoppe. Check it. I will be topping off a night of fun musicians, but I am especially excited about this:
John Macy, my producer, will be playing steel and Dave Shapiro (all-around ace) will be killing it on the telecaster. as if that
wasn't enough, the
chocolate sprinkles here is my pal
Bradley Weaver playing bass. I am so stoked about this night - you have got to come see us!!

Friends of the
JCTwo upcoming shows to tell you about! Monday September 10
th at the
Oriental Theater in the Highlands, and Monday September 24

Larimer Lounge. I like both venues, the OT is right near the old Lazy J Ranch, so I can stumble home after playing there. I must confess I have tons of great memories from playing at the LL. As a young stuntman, my first big show was there. History, baby

OK so it has been over a month since my last post. You try being incarcerated. Just kidding I was really busy with some work around the house, recording and travel. But I have turned the proverbial page and am now back to blogging. Every day. Of note:
I saw Jennifer Hanson at the taste of Colorado yesterday. I met her in Nashville one time and she said she would listen to some of my stuff. Like then I was an idiot yesterday and didn't have a demo on hand. Rat. Farts. It's cool though I just missed a chance encounter with 2 top-forty songwriters and producers. I did get a
turkey leg tho, and, necessarily, was the target of a drunk old lady in a
Korn t-shirt. For some reason crazy drunk old ladies always single me out in the crowd. Their eyes haven't lost the attenuation to the red color of my hair. Anyhow her breath about knocked me over and I couldn't make out what she was saying, so she waved me off with a "you don't want to talk to me anyway." I felt kind of bad. Not a lot.
