OK so my favorite new band here in the Mighty Fly City is Rosalie. not just because I know em. Check their video on
youtube. I sense greatness there. The Toad is cool because they take your live video fo you.
I wish I had the album done. We got hung up mastering it becasue I was fixing problems at my house. Kitchen problems with no easy fixes. Only expensive, time consuming ones. I need all my time and expense to be making sweet country music.
On the lighter side, I just got back from a business trip to tha NYC. I wanted it to be authentic, so i spent all kinds of cheddar. Like 350 bucks a night to stay at the holiday inn express, on a twin bed my feet hung off of. But we went to a bunch of cool bars there and I think I ate the best italian food of my life in Brooklyn. I want to go again, I hear
Ryan Adams lives there.
Lastly, Shooter Jennings and Drea De Matteo just had a baby. I dont know why but I am fascinated by that pairing

So my friend in KC went to the Garth Brooks show, which she said was awesome, then had pit passes to
Dierks Bentley 2 days later. She made him a T-shirt (which said www.johncroghan.com on it, I assume) and threw it at him. Not her bra or anything. He hung it up on his stack. Nice.
And about the
CMA's..I'm not gonna lie, I got a little misty when Kellie
Pickler started crying during the Carolina tune. I like KP. She's the real deal. Not just hot.
More later,

So much as it is TO-night. Tactical error. So my buddy got sacked the other night. Hoods broke into his barn and stole a guitar and two amps. Who does that? Are recreational musicians all the sudden considered loaded? Did the hoods think "he'll probably have to exchange one of his bags of money with the dollar sign printed on them and get new stuff". Jerks. I'd like to run into them as they try to hawk their stolen goods. They'd get a smooch from my sand wedge
Unrelated but still bitchin side note: my pal Sara is RIGHT NOW en route to see Garth Brooks return concert in KC. Say what you will about the GB, that show will be the NUTS

OK so tonight is the emmys of popular country music, the CMA's. On CBS I think. Doesnt matter. The stuntman, as usual, will be curled up on the couch with a bag of
Butter Light adoring the Nashville luminaries. Perhaps wishing that someday my lucky star will quit taking a big fat crap all over my dreams and give me a break already. It's tough to have too much hope right now. Look what happened to my
broncosmore later
I will have to tell you about the grand larceny that happened at my buddy's farm
