OK so my new favorite band in Denver (besides John Croghan and his Small Orchestra) Rosalie played sunday night and I gotta say I am liking them more and more. They were followed by American Relay, one of my all time faves. I pick them to be the next Denver band to explode. I think they need to get on a film soundtrack or something. You should see them, they will melt your face clean off.
I have been playing the crap out of George. He likes the attention. I also am dropping my cable package after 3 months. I cant believe how much repetive garbage is on cable. Plus, it's all commercials. It's worse than broadcast TV. I seriously watched less than 5 channels, and to get CMT or MTV2 or something I would actually watch I'd be shelling out 250 bucks a month. Sorry gang Ill just stream it from now on. that and buy HBO original series box sets

it was a holly, jolly, oh-by-golly Christmas for the JC this year. In addition to getting my flooring installed, I was completely leveled by the awesome Christmas gift I got. My brother stuntman Don has been building me an electric that is pretty similar to the G&L ASAT. He called it the JC-1. I called it George in honor of the greatest country musician that ever lived. I am going to get some pix of it and I will post them. It has all the tricks, 2 pickups, five positions, hand wound coils, railroad tie frets, compound bridge..the list goes on and on. On top of that, it is a gorgeous light chocolate sunburst, hand painted. It is easily the finest material thing I own. I cant wait to show it off, and I have been playing it like crazy. Look out guitar gods, I now possess the Sword of a Thousand Truths

I was in the news this week! not for being a musical genius, but for flying on a business-class aircraft.
My company, Ball
Aero, flew an ultraviolet/visible detector late last
Sunday to Goddard Space Flight Center in D.C. I was the team lead on the repair, so I got to go with the part back there. I'd link you to the article, but I cant find the
publication online and the story had 2 errors in it. I guess me sleeping in a Bombardier 604 is not exactly Pulitzer material.
Christmas is upon us, and I am once again giving the gift of alcohol (even tho I am on the wagon). New Year's resolution: blog daily. That's right. No more of this month-till-my-next-Johnny-fix, I am getting hardcore.
Lastly, I am going to see American Relay and Rosalie this Sunday. I cant wait. they both rock. Hard. Rock Hard. Plus, Three Miles West, one of my first favorite Denver alt-country bands is releasing an album after a long time when I
didnt hear from them at all. They will be playing the Walnut Room on the 19
th I think. Some bar, some day, I will be there
